Legal Right to Self-Determination

The principle of self-determination is prominently embodied in Article I of the Charter of the United Nations and incorporated into the 1941 Atlantic Charter and the Dumbarton Oaks proposals which evolved into the United Nations Charter. Its inclusion in the UN Charter marks the universal recognition of the principle as fundamental to the maintenance of friendly relations and peace among states. It is recognized as a right of all peoples in the first article common to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights which both entered into force in 1976. 1 Paragraph 1 of this Article provides: All peoples have the right to self-determination. By virtue of that right they freely determine their political status and freely pursue their economic, social and cultural development.

What We Do

In recent history, we have seen the evolution of revolution by youth, particularly in reference to the “Arab Spring” where real change took place due to indigenous youth coordinating efforts.

Executive Board Message

Apart from the physical genocide that is perpetrated by India in Occupied Kashmir, there is cultural genocide, intellectual genocide, environmental genocide, academic genocide social genocide economic genocide and historical genocide to name a few.

The youth of Kashmir have sacrificed far too much to be forgotten and ignored by the world. Memorialising the injured, the martyred and the victims is not enough so it is our responsibility and conscientious people to advocate for those who’s voices are suppressed. Our moral duty is to enforce the inalienable and legal right of the people of Kashmir to determine their fate according to the United Nations resolutions.

Together, we will bring peace and justice to the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir.

Collectively, we will represent the sentiments of the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir.

United, we will end the rampant tyranny, oppression and subjugation in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
